What is the difference between the Phillip Island regular and large coach tours?

Phillip Island promises outstanding coastal sights and an abundant amount of Australian wildlife. A short drive from Melbourne, Phillip Island is perfect for a one-day adventure or a weekend getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. By far its most popular attraction is the colony of Little Penguins that call this place home. But the famous penguin parade isn’t the only thing this area promises, with a range of other attractions and wildlife on offer.

Interested in a one-day tour? We offer a couple to choose from, so picking the best one for you can be a bit tricky. Here we have laid out the differences between these amazing day adventures, so have a look and see which one jumps out at you.

Regular Tour

Experience the natural beauty of the area with our regular tour! This is our most popular tour, jam-packed with attractions and inclusions at an affordable price. Here are some of the main highlights.

  • Australian Wildlife Park

If you want to see more than penguins, Maru Wildlife Park is bursting with amazing Australian natives. A family-owned park gives you a hands-on animal experience, offering daily activities to pat, feed, or pose for a photo with the animals.

  • Grand Prix Circuit

For the sports fanatics, you can visit the Grand Prix circuit on Phillip Island. The track dates back to 1956 and is still one of the most important trails for the Grand Prix World races and is home to the Australian Moto GP. Stop by to see where the action happens here in this otherwise quiet area.

  • Nobbies Information Centre

Marvel at the stunning scenery surrounding Nobbies Information Centre which sits at the top of a coastal cliff. The centre promises numerous walking tracks and great lookout points for all after you learn about the history of the area. The tour will visit the nearby seal rocks, where you get to see Phillip Island’s playful seals basking in the sun.

  • Morning Tea and Lunch Included

What’s great about this tour is that it includes both morning tea and lunch in the ticket price. Offering you a light morning tea to refuel mid-morning, as well as packing a delicious picnic style lunch as you enjoy the stunning views of the area.

Large Coach

We offer an alternative day tour in their luxury large bus. As it is travelling the same destination, there are overlapping attractions within each tour’s itinerary.

  • Improved Comfort and a Shorter Day

The large coach is a forty-eight-seater bus with Wi-Fi, reclinable seats and a bathroom on board. Giving passengers a comfortable journey throughout the day compared to the small twenty-four-seater bus on our regular tour. It is usually recommended to elderly passengers and young families with children under the ages of 2 years. Due to the passengers on board, the day and walks are cut shorter, giving guests a quicker journey through Phillip Island.

  • Warrook Farm

The historic farm over 100 years old lets you take a step back in time. here travellers will enjoy an afternoon tea at their own expense, after getting up close and personal with the friendly kangaroos and koalas.

  • San Remo

Tuck into some delicious lunch (at your own expense) when the tour visits the fishing village, San Remo. Enjoy the fresh seafood while taking in the beautiful views of the quaint beach town.

  • Koala Conservation Centre

Get a chance to marvel at Australian koalas within their natural habitat. The centre provides a number of interwoven treetop boardwalks within the lush canopies of the bushland. Letting guests get up close and personal without having to strain their eyes. These koalas are all free to roam throughout the trees, scattered along the boardwalk, as this to not a zoo but a safe centre for these wild animals.
