The Evening Penguin Parade Tour Itinerary

This evening Penguin Parade Tour offers you a chance to spend a night out, with what could possibly be the cutest and most intriguing wildlife Australia has to offer.

Departing Melbourne we head straight to Phillip Island, hearing tales and commentary on Melbourne, South Gippsland and of course Phillip Island along the way. We pass through the quaint fishing village of San Remo before crossing the bridge onto Phillip Island. We enter Phillip Island (found in the shallow waters of Western Port Bay) at its most easterly point. We then travel the length of the 26 Kilometre Island to the Penguin Parade which is located at Summerland’s Bay on the most westerly point of the island. Keep your eyes peeled on this journey because koalas and wallaby’s are a common sight.

Once we arrive at the Penguin Parade you will have plenty of time to dine at the cafe (own expense) and discover the award winning Penguin Parade Visitor Centre. The Visitor Centre offers you a chance to get to know the little penguins, their habits, conservation and plight to thrive/survive in an ever changing world. Once the sun starts to set its time to take your seats and watch the procession as groups of little penguins pluck the courage to cross the beach into their sand dune homes. Enjoy spending time with the penguins from the grandstands and wander the boardwalks and view them as they socialise with their family and neighbours.
