1 Day Phillip Island Tour Itinerary
Observe the adorable little penguins of Phillip Island in their natural habitat on our 1 Day Phillip Island Tour! This day tour from Melbourne offers wildlife encounters aplenty with a stop at Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park. We’ll enjoy the amazing Phillip Island scenery at the Nobbies before making our way to Summerland Beach for the unforgettable Penguin Parade!
Climb aboard our Phillip Island tour from Melbourne as we make our way to Moonlit Sanctuary Conservation Park. Here you will find over 70 species of Australian mammals, reptiles and birds to observe and interact with. Hand feed the kangaroos and wallabies, observe rare marsupials in their enclosures or learn more about koalas with a keeper talk. Your guide will show you around many of the animal exhibits or you can even get your photo taken with a koala (own expense).
Next up, we make our way to Cape Woolamai Beach, a popular spot for surfers and windsurfers. Watch them in action as you take a stroll along the beach. (This stop is time permitting and not guaranteed)
We’ll continue our journey across Phillip Island to the Nobbies. Enjoy a stroll along the boardwalks to appreciate the stunning coastal scenery out to Seal Rocks.
In the evening, we head to Summerland Beach, where we can take a seat and wait for the little penguins to arrive on the beach after a long day fishing. Once the sun sets, these adorable birds emerge from the relative safety of the water to waddle across the sandy beach in small groups. As they head for their burrows, walk alongside them on the boardwalks in the dunes. It’s an incredible opportunity to observe these delightful little penguins in their natural habitat.
We’ll all head back to the bus ready for our trip back to Melbourne, checking to make sure there are no penguins sheltering under the bus before we get on our way.
Please note: pickup times vary and depend on the seasons (Winter or Summer). Check your confirmation email for the correct pickup time for your tour.
