Joining a day tour to Phillip Island in 2025? Here’s where you can grab a bite to eat during your day out.

All that wildlife spotting and nature wandering can work up an appetite! Here are different places you can eat if you join a Phillip Island day tour.

Let’s go through the Phillip Island itinerary and explore the cuisine that you’ll pass along the way. With locally sourced ingredients, sustainably caught fresh seafood and thoughtful flavours, you’ll be able to sample the best flavours of Phillip Island on a day tour!

On a tour to Phillip Island, you’ll head to the following different spots!

Depending on the time of year, our tour might stop in the town of Cowes, where you might be able to grab something to eat.

  • Moonlit Sanctuary Conservation Park
  • Cowes
  • Cape Woolamai
  • Nobbies Centre
  • Summerland Beach and the Penguin Parade Centre

Moonlit Sanctuary Conservation Park: The Wetlands Café

As the first stop on Phillip Island, you might want to enjoy some lunch at the Wetlands Café.

If you haven’t already stopped for lunch, then you might want to grab some lunch at the Wetlands Cafe at the Moonlit Sanctuary Conservation Park.

The Wetlands Café is a picturesque little café. Eat your hot food out on the lawn and look out over the picturesque view of the lake while you eat!

This café serves a mixture of hot and cold food as well as vegetarian and gluten-free options.

Warm up with hot salty chips on a cold day, or delight in a cheesy toasty. Go lighter with a wrap or salad. This wonderful café also serves up some delicious milkshakes. Yum!

Cape Woolamai Beach

Next to the wooden boardwalk on the side of the beach, you’ll find a small kiosk that sells coffee and snacks. Sample a delicious hot sausage roll or sip on a hot coffee near the beach.

This beach can get a little windy and cold (particularly in the winter season), so warm up with a hot coffee on the side of the beach.

Nobbies

If you’re after a bite to eat at the Nobbies, you’re in for a treat when it comes to the views! With one of the best views in Victoria, you’ll be able to eat a delicious meal of fresh, sustainably caught seafood.

The café here is fronted with an enormous viewing glass window that allows you to see the entire Bass Strait.

Penguins Plus

The final stop of the tour is the Penguin Parade, where you’ll be free to get yourself a bite to eat! Depending on the time of year that you go and see the penguins, you will arrive at the centre at slightly different times. As the penguins come out at sunset, the times will, of course, be a bit different depending on the time of year that you go.

By going in the summer, you’ll get more hours of daylight, so you might want to get yourself something to eat before the penguin parade starts. Grab yourself something tasty from the counter of delicious options at the Penguin Parade.
